DWI  Services

ADIA Therapeutic Services is fully licensed by NC DHHS DWI Services as a DWI approved provider and will assist you with your assessment in a professional, confidential, and timely manner.

A DWI Substance Abuse Assessment is an alcohol and drug abuse assessment consisting of an interview by a licensed or certified substance abuse professional and a structured assessment questionnaire to determine if a person has a problem with alcohol or drugs.

The DWI Assessment and related paperwork will take approximately one and a half hours to complete. Allow at least 90 minutes for the DWI assessment when you schedule your appointment.

The cost of an NC DWI Assessment is $100.

The DWI Assessment results will assign you to a treatment group or education class. There are a minimum number of contact hours, time in group or class, and minimum lengths of time a person must be involved. These placement requirements are set by the NC DHHS DWI Services and must be followed by licensed DWI providers in the State of NC.

NC rules state that a DWI Assessment is valid for only 6 months. Treatment engagement or ADETS must be started within 6 months from the date of the assessment, or a new assessment is required by the State.
