Hello, I’m Hannah (she/her). I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I’m passionate about providing neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed care to my clients by accepting and embracing differences and creating a supportive environment that fosters healing.
I have completed training in working with clients with chronic illness, neurodivergence, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), grief and loss, and trauma. My experience includes working with children ages 0-17, parents and caregivers, families, and adults in outpatient treatment centers, pediatric clinics, non-profit settings, women’s shelters, and family camps.
I practice from a solution-focused and strengths-based perspective, shifting the focus to highlighting your strengths and resources to achieve your goals. In our work together, I aim to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for you to work at your own pace toward self-understanding and growth.
In my work with children, I primarily practice from a child-centered, non-directive
approach. My role is to be with your child and create a presence of warmth and
acceptance. Your child’s goals and evaluation of progress will be an ongoing
collaborative discussion, with respect and dignity for both you and your child.
My own path toward healing has taught me the importance of self-advocacy, self-
compassion, and integrating self-care into daily life. Through navigating chronic illness, exploring my neurodivergence, and embracing my identity within the LGBTQIA+ community, I have developed a deeper understanding of the many layers that shape a person’s well-being. These experiences allow me to hold space with empathy and authenticity, and to support clients as they navigate their own journeys toward healing and self-understanding.
Each person is unique; therefore, therapy is not one-size-fits-all.
Types of therapy I utilize with clients may include:
- Expressive Arts / Art Therapy
- Sandtray
- Play Therapy
- Solution-Focused
- Child-Parent Relationship
- Person-Centered
