Monica Harrelson
Offering in-person and virtual appointments.
Hello, my name is Monica Harrelson, and I would love to serve as your therapeutic
cheerleader—supporting you through healing, growth, and resilience.
About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) with extensive experience supporting individuals and families through life’s most challenging seasons. My background includes facilitating Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) therapy, where I guide clients in building practical skills to manage distress, regulate emotions, and create healthier patterns of thought and behavior.
I specialize in working with individuals navigating grief and loss; trauma recovery; autism spectrum disorder; intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD); family conflict, mood disorders; substance misuse, and sexual trauma. My clinical approach blends evidence-based modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to provide strategies that are both empowering and effective.
My Approach
Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs. I believe healing begins with feeling truly seen and supported. Whether you’re struggling with overwhelming emotions, relationship conflicts, or the weight of past trauma, I work alongside you to help restore balance and strengthen resilience.
Why Choose Me
Clients describe me as warm, encouraging, and relatable. I like to call myself a “therapeutic cheerleader”—someone who celebrates your growth, challenges you to push past limitations, and walks with you through both the setbacks and the breakthroughs.
If you are ready to take the next step in your healing journey, I would be honored to walk with you.
